Description

The DataPort 6 is designed for high performance drives operating in environments requiring security, transportability, data integrity, and instant SCSI identification. It supports high capacity hard drives operating up to 15,000 rpm, in both Wide SCSI 68-pin and 80-pin SCA interfaces. The DataPort 6 is constructed from cast aluminum alloy for improved heat dispersion and maximum durability. It is equipped with a SCSI ID display and selector switch, gold-plated DIN connectors, and key lock security. A quality dual ball-bearing fan, coupled with CRU's patented Temperature Controlled Cooling System (TCCS), to provide additional cooling when you need it, and a fan failure alarm, are standard.

DataPorts in Multiple Drive Configurations

If you need to connect a single Ultra 160 hard drive to a Ultra 160 SCSI controller in a desktop computer or workstation, either our 68-pin Ultra Wide LVD DataPort 6 complete assembly, or our SCA DataPort 6 complete assembly would make an excellent choice.

For installations requiring two Ultra 160 drives in DataPorts to be connected to a single Ultra 160 SCSI channel, you can use either our DataPort 6 SCA complete assemblies, or our CRU 2-Bay Backplane Kit with DataPort 6 SCA carriers.

When connecting more than two Ultra 160 SCSI hard disk drives to a single Ultra 160 SCSI channel, we recommend using CRU 2, 3 and 4-Bay backplanes with either DataPort 6 SCA (80-pin) carriers or the DataPort 3n2.

CRU offers DataPort 6 carriers with backplanes in RAID Ready enclosures, 2 & 4-Bay Sub System and 2, 3, & 4 Bay Backplane kits.
