Description

Flexible - The new DataPort HotDock Secure is an "expandable" storage enclosure, making it easy to hot-swap as many hard drives as you need with any PC or laptop. Using DataPort 5 or V plus removable drive carriers, you can quickly access and archive any capacity 3.5" IDE hard drive; Ideal for backing up workgroups, A/V editing, transporting files and data archiving.

Hot-Swappable - The DataPort HotDock Secure's dual USB/FireWire interface allows you to transfer files with any PC or Mac. Plug and Play interface makes installation easy and the HotDock Secure is hot swappable so there's no need to power down your computer to switch drives. The DataPort HotDock can be stacked or positioned vertically and includes a low-noise fan to keep your drive cool.

Secure - The HotDock Secure (DES and TDES) utilizes a cryptographic engine certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Our high-speed ASIC encryption engine will not degrade your computer system performance. US Government customers can use the HotDock Secure to keep their important data secure. The Triple DES algorithm used in the 128 bit version of the HotDock Secure has been approved by FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards Publication Series) to be used by US government agencies for the protection of sensitive information.HotDock Secure can also be used to protect medical records, credit card information, or any other important information stored on computer hard drives.
