Data Express DE50

The Data Express DE50 is a reliable and versatile removable enclosure constructed of solid steel and plastic. This product was created specifically for 2.5" PATA or SATA 3Gb/s devices and is designed to fit into any 3.5" floppy or 5.25" peripheral bay, including CDROM slots. The DE50 differs from other Data Express PATA and SATA models in that it supports 2.5" drives (rather than 3.5" drives) and includes a model that supports USB host interfaces.

• Available with PATA, SATA 3Gb/s or USB 2.0 host connections
• Highly-rated mating connectors support up to 20K insertions
• USB model (PATA only) offers true hot swap capability; complete internal connection includes internal cable to 9-pin USB header on motherboard
• "Soft Start" circuitry assures data integrity by eliminating in-rush current during spin-up and avoiding power arcing during insertion
• Key lock functions as a locking device for security purposes and as an on-off switch
• Exceeds rotational vibration and heat dissipation requirements of today's high speed drives
• USB 2.0 external adapter option allows PATA drive carrier to be transported and docked for use with a system externally
• DE50 docking station "Y" cable version uses power from two USB ports, which have a max of 500mA each for a total of 1000mA
• Drive activity indicator (as supported by installed drive)
