Versatile and affordable, the DataPort 21 Secure frame and removable tray provide flexibility for standard slimline optical drive bays. Whether looking for additional encrypted storage capacity, secure off-site backup or meeting an encrypted data regulation, the DataPort 21 Secure is the solution. This innovative frame and removable tray combination allows you to add 256-bit encrypted removable storage to one of the smallest bays in your computer. Mount drives without screws for quick and safe access or screw down the drives in environments where additional protection is needed. DataPort 21 Secure supports one 2.5" (7.0mm or 9.5mm) SATA hard drive and solid state drive.

Encryption Data

• Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256
• AES 256 is Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) approved FIPS 140-2 (certification number 1471)
• Encrypts entire HDD - including boot sector, OS, temp and swap files

Reliability Testing

CRU-DataPort reliability testing has determined the DataPort 21 Secure receiving frame interconnect can withstand 25,000+ cycles (both insertion and removal) without failure or degradation of signal quality. It would take a sled being cycled once every hour for over three years to match our rugged testing.

Installation of DataPort 21 Secure

DataPort 21 comes with standard mechanical mounting holes for 12.7mm slimline optical drives as outlined in the SFF-8552 (rev 1.4) specification. Computer chassis manufacturers offer various bracket and hardware options for mounting slimline optical drives. Please consult the chassis manufacturer's owner's manual for specific instructions.
