DataPort 30 SATA-to-IDE (HDD)
With the new SATA-to-IDE (HDD) DataPort 30 continue using your valuable IDE hard drives with the latest Serial ATA host computers. The SATA-to-IDE (HDD) DataPort 30 carrier utilizes the latest bridge technology to translate the data from your IDE drive to Serial ATA inside the carrier. With a DataPort 30 Serial ATA frame installed in your computer, you can switch between your new Serial ATA drives mounted in DataPort 30 Serial ATA carriers and your legacy IDE drives mounted in SATA-to-IDE DataPort 30 carriers. Your IDE drives can make use of the same Serial ATA DataPort frame that is standard on many new SATA only PC systems from leading PC manufacturers that include removable drives. You no longer need to worry if any given drive is Serial ATA or IDE--they both will work in the same CRU-DataPort receiving frame.
Reliability Testing
CRU-DataPort reliability testing has determined the DataPort 30 connectors can withstand 30,000+ cycles (both insertion and removal) without failure or degradation of signal quality. It would take a DataPort 30 carrier being cycled once every hour for over three years to match our rugged testing.
