DataPort SATA-to-IDE (HDD) Carriers
With SATA-to-IDE (HDD) DataPort 5+ and DataPort 30 carriers keep using your valuable IDE hard drives with the latest Serial ATA host computers. The SATA-to-IDE (HDD) carriers utilize bridge technology to translate the data from your IDE drive to Serial ATA inside the carrier.
With the DataPort 5+ or DataPort 30 Serial ATA frame installed in your computer, you can switch between your Serial ATA drives mounted in DataPort 5+ or DataPort 30 Serial ATA carriers and your legacy IDE drives mounted in SATA-to-IDE DataPort 5+ or DataPort 30 carriers.
Your IDE drives can make use of the same Serial ATA DataPort frame that is standard on many new SATA only PC systems from leading PC manufacturers that include removable drives. You no longer need to worry if any given drive is Serial ATA or IDE - they both will work in the same CRU-DataPort receiving frame.
