The CRU RAX840-XJ 8-Bay JBOD 4U Rackmount Enclosure offers 6 Gb/s performance with a Multilane SFF-8088 interface supporting eight 3.5” SATA hard drives. TrayFree™ bays make adding drives effortless. It's as easy as opening the door, sliding the drive in, and closing the door. No screws, no trays, it just works.
RAX840-XJ, with 6Gb/s performance, is an ideal solution for post production audio and video editing, storage or backing up large amounts of data. With the option of a dual redundant power supply, RAX840-XJ offers extra security to protect data. Our TrayFree design also offers HDD hot swapping.
Mounting RAX840-XJ
RAX840-XJ can be mounted in a standard 19” rack (EIA 310 Standards) by using our available rack slide kit (0641-5500-00). A rack depth from 22” to 30” is suggested when using CRU-DataPort’s rack slide kit to allow easy access to the back of the unit.
What is MultiLane?
Multilane is a cabling method for combining up to four eSATA cables into one capable of moving data up to 6 Gb/s using a SFF8088 connector..
